The Next Generation

Tomorrow depends, on the youth of today

The future decided, as they choose our way,

It is oh so important, that we invest,

So we can see, this world at its best,

We must not neglect, to give them our all,

To push them aside, just might lead to their fall,

We must never leave them, in thick or in thin,

They need us most, when they are chagrined,

So much potential, is in these dear souls,

They need our support, as they set their life goals,

As clay for a potter, they are easy to mold,

We must show we love them, and see them as gold,

I know what it’s like, I’ve been where they are,

Time to decide, just where to set the bar,

Their whole future rides, on the choices they make,

Will they serve their dear Lord, or Him forsake,

Satan tries hard, to cause them to stumble,

And it often seems, that their world will crumble,

But the support we can give, it can go oh so far,

It can make all the difference, if committed we are,

It often requires, much time and endurance,

To prove that we care, and give them assurance,

But if we don’t, the results can be dire,

As Satan so strongly, against them conspires,

If we say it’s too late, and then we quit,

The vict’ry is Satans, and to him we forfeit,

No we can’t give up now, there is too much at stake,

It is worth all the trials, so we don’t them forsake,

The youth of today, are the leaders of tomorrow,

Let’s make the investment, so it doesn’t cause sorrow,

It is worth all the pain, when we see them on fire,

Serving their Savior, with the utmost desire,
